MEMBERSHIP
Membership in the church may be attained by a person verbally acknowledging they would like to become a member. The “Right Hand of Fellowship” is given by the Pastor at the time of acknowledgement afterward, the general membership greets the person.

Membership in Greater St. James Church consists of people who have made a profession of their faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and who, having been scripturally baptized by immersion, and agree with the Articles of Faith, and Covenant of the Church. People who have not made a profession of faith will be admitted as “watch care” members.
Membership can also be attained by any of the other following options:
1. By transfer of church letter from another Church.
2. By a statement of faith of their prior experience of conversion in another evangelical church of like precious faith and practice.
3. Through Pastoral restoration after having voluntarily been away from the normal life and activities of the church for a period of more than three (3) months.
4. By “rejoining” – renewing previous membership.
Items three and four will require the returning member(s) to participate in the five hour “New Member’s Class” and each will be required to undergo a waiting period prior to joining or rejoining any auxiliary group.

"The vision” of Greater St. James Church is to lead people to faith and commitment to Jesus Christ and the godly life; to serve the community and the area in which we live, and to work as one with all other of God’s people to bring about the Kingdom of God.
